Mari Hamada is a professional Japanese female rock singer, songwriter,
and self-producing artist.
She debuted in 1983, and became known for a long time as the "Heavy-Metal Queen".
She has been making her albums in the Unites States with various world famous
musicians and engineers since her 7th album, "In The Precious Age" which was
produced by Mike Clink and her in 1987.
Mari has had a number of hit albums in Japan, including "Tomorrow", "Anti-Heroine", "Inclination",
and "Return To Myself", among several others during the course of her career.
Also her single "Return To Myself" was a number 1 hit on the Japanese music charts as well.
She has released big hit ballads such as "Hold On" and "Fixing A Broken Heart"with
Indecent Obsession in South-East Asia on MCA International during the 1990's.
Additionally, she was the biggest selling artist of MCA in Asia in the early 90's.
She released "Introducing...Mari Hamada" thru out South-East Asia and Europe.
Mari was the first Japanese female solo singer to tour Europe during the 1990's.
In 2018, she signed to JVC records and had made her 26th record album「Gracia」 in Los Angeles, California and Tokyo, Japan. Her latest tour including the concert at Budokan, has been released as a Blu-ray in 2019. She is currently working on her 27th album, which is scheduled for release in 2023.
